I went in with the mindset that it's not an action RPG and more of a dice-roll clicking combat style like Baldur's Gate, and ended up really enjoying it. + Combat: I actually really loved the combat. I loved W3 a lot but it's definitely a different style of game - more akin to a fantasy GTA. I was definitely getting some Gothic 1/2 influences from it as well. I really enjoyed Witcher 1, probably more so than I was expecting - it feels more like a proper CRPG in the vein of Knights of the Old Republic when compared to Witcher 3. I don't have super in-depth knowledge on the lore of this series, but I am currently reading book 4 of the series so I'm somewhat aware of the background of the world / characters. I had previously played about 40 or so hours of Witcher 3, but since getting a gaming PC I decided to go back and play through the first two games before seeing the ending of W3 through.
